A space that feels personal, comfortable and easier to settle into. Oriah’s Nest brings together sensory preferences, thoughtful lighting and tactile comfort for children who need a place to decompress.
Overstimulated Kids’ Nest
A personal place to pause, play quietly and rest, shaped around a child’s sensory preferences and everyday routines.
These supplied images illustrate the design direction. Each selected family’s space will be planned around the child, the room and the project budget. Water features will not be included in children’s rooms for this casting project.
We welcome applications from parents and guardians of children with ADHD or sensory overwhelm in Safety Harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin and Tampa Bay. This category is part of our five-household pitch-trailer casting call.
The project involves a modest-budget room refresh, reclaimed materials, an initial video consultation and two filming days. There is no major construction. All participation details and the application instructions are on the casting page.
A playful design direction with a soft seating corner, accessible books and familiar objects. The lighting, textures and amount of decoration would be chosen with the child and guardian.
Supplied before-and-after design references, not a documented completed transformation. The pictured aquarium is part of the reference only; this casting project does not include water features in children’s rooms. Hanging decor, lighting and seating require an age-appropriate safety plan.
